    yeah, like what IS ambient. nonetheless, you want to hear, im my opinion: Boards of Canada


    they are absolutely amazing.
    Start with these songs (all on iTunes)
    - Dayvan Cowboy
    - Sixyniner
    - Roybgiv
    If you want full CD, go for:
    - Campfire Headphase
    - Music has the Right to Children

    I do like Moby / Hotel ambient though. good stuff.

    Eno of course, is essential - but stick to the classics from the late 70s. Don't get anything recent or even from the 90s - not that I've heard all off of it...but not Nerve Net: no and some other things...not so good. His collaboration with Cluster is very good.
