    i'm just gonna assume that was thrown in to see if anyone read past the 2nd paragraph.

    So, basically, if you get sick, and can't work, and couldn't afford insurance even before you got sick, go stand in line with the illegals who are getting their face shot off cause you're fucked anyway?

    This is a gross generalization. Those who have benefitted from charity or social programs usually (USUALLY) gain a better understanding of what it's like to be in that position and once they get out of their hole are more likely to be willing to help others. People who have never felt need, but who give anyway, i find often feel bad about receiving support, even if they desperately need it.
    Of course these are all generalizations too, but just on a dminished scale
