as a beekeeper myself i've seen how destructive things like colony collapse disorder can be. the cellphone research is interesting for sure but really if you want to help solve this problem AND still use your phones go your nearest farmers market and buy local produce and honey. when bees get trucked back and forth the county to pollinate your food it's not good for them. keeping it local helps the bees avoid the hundreds of pesticides they are exposed to through this type of commercial beekeeping. if you want to take it even farther then learn how to keep bees yourself, it's not hard and one hive can easily fit into your yard or rooftop with out causing the neighbors to freak. plus the honey you'll harvest will make saving the bees seem worth it.
