Yes, we do.
There was a time (prehistoric) that women chose men based on physical force, because that was the most important thing to survive. Then, when human society became more complex it was more important to be smart and creative. Hence, the focus of women changed to creative and smart men, leading to a history of culture and science.
Making art is like a peacock showing of his tail.
