What's your point? So what if the sensor size is not the same. What does that matter as long as long as it produces pictures that are equal in quality, which it does.
The epl1 does compare to dslr's of equal price in terms of noise and sharpness. Not in autofocus speed or continuous shooting.
the sensor is only important if you want the 1.6 crop factor, which judging by your post is not what you're concerned with.
