    Panasonic GH1.

    I would almost bet you won't get a better camera for your
    money. Does video on par (some say better due to faster continous focus) with that of the 5D mkII, takes incredible images with it's kit 14-140mm lens.

    There are also firmware hacks which are very easy to implement which allow higher bit rate improved video quality.

    Don't forget the photos it takes are some of the best.

    It's also more compact than a DSLR.

    look Into that review though as I'm not sure if it has better dynamic range and high iso capabilities.
