  If you need to work after work, develop your own projects. Do a series of posters, rebrand yourself, fill your portfolio with case studies and get it professionally printed and bound, learn motion graphics or whatever you don't already have experience in; design characters for a cartoon you'd watch...

  That's what I'm planning on doing this fall.
