Please if you do make a logo, make it a bit more understated and classy (if it works for the client too obviously) than the vast amount of try hard tough guy ones you see about, see them all the time at training and i think they look stupid.
I always kinda liked the JKA site. This is a good example of classy, understated martial arts branding. Its not a great logo, but for a martial arts related logo, its one of the best.
