I love one of my current clients.
Branding project, new product coming out. There's even Snoopy/Peanuts involved.
1st they provide me with outlined problems/target/hopes and competitor information I asked for. They do it within days and hand it over in a tidy word and excel doc.
Secondly they agree to estimated time without fuzz, with ample hours to develop something good. They agree that in order for it to turn out well the hours are justified.
Third, they are eager to provide me with whatever material I have told them I will eventually ask for. They want to know what, and soon, since they're just as excited as me to get this thing rolling.
Forth, it takes but a few days after asking for an up-front payment until they had it transferred.
We go out fine-dining, we -do- karaoke and there's lots of trust between us. It's clients like these that makes me sad I will one day once again be snagged back into an agency.
