And I also mentionned that some wounds do not go back to more than a thousand years ( islam annexed Persia, Siria and Egypt around 636bc says my religious history book) but are fairly recent and still open.

"In 1953, Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadeq was overthrown by a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)-organized coup, in what has been called "a crucial turning point both in Iran's modern history and in U.S. Iran relations." Many Iranians argue that "the 1953 coup and the extensive U.S. support for the shah in subsequent years were largely responsible for the shah's arbitrary rule," which lead to the "deeply anti-American character" of the 1979 revolution.[11]"

    • Sure - but why miss a chance to bash the U.S. for actions I already said I disagree with?:)ukit
    • you're the one that posted persepolis, while completely ignoring why it got there and why Iran is 100% Islamic nowgeorgesIII
    • so pointing out history is bashing now. this is getting tiringgeorgesIII
    • I didn't know the disclaimer was necessary but if so here it is: "...and it was all America's fault"ukit
    • would you ignore the repercussions of your liberations on the future Iraqi generations too?georgesIII
