you obviously didn't read what I said. I said Hawaii was beautiful, just could never live there. It is a great place to visit for about a week, then it gets very old.
And I will completely disagree with you on he food. The food there sucks really badly. At least on Maui. They have a captive audience so none of the restaurants have to be good. The servers are rude as hell and hate their jobs, well I'm sorry you're a fucking waitress, smile when you bring me my food!
Seriously the food on Maui sucked ass, except for Maui tacos, those were pretty damn good.
As for those other states, if you are into hiking and the outdoors, they have Hawaii beat hands down, no questions asked, so much more to do there. And what's that, a little something called "Elbow Room"?!!!
Hawaii is too damn small, but it does have everywhere else beat if all you like to do is water related activities, I will give it that.
