The whole point behind these shows is the tendency of rich people to try to show themselves as normal people, which is pretty pathetic because they have nothing in common with regular people. I mean I'm not jealous about someone who has millions, on the contrary it inspires me to work harder to get there, but what they are showing on TV is not well earned wealth but totally stupid and privileged rich people who got their wealth thanks to someone else. MTV, hm, is all about that. Just look at the shows they have, Punk'D (This one is actually funny), Cribs, Rich Girls and the list goes on.
Pretty pathetic I must say. Instead of showing some real business people that educated themselves, made their wealth out of their own sweat, they show illiterate music artists, spoiled kids and so on. This is why MTV is bad. It's not positively influential, it doesn't show how hard work is rewarded, it just shows the spending part of everything. Very bad.
