    50 1.8 on a crop frame body....

    ...or...
    extension tube
old Nikon 50mm F2 (smoother out of focus highlights than most other lenses)
    Nikon to Canon Adapter

    or
Tamron 90mm macro... very nice for still objects.... AF is buzzy, but for food work, who cares..

    I have a 85mm F1.8 Canon... it doesn't focus that close on a full-frame body, on a crop frame, it's very nice 135mm f1.8 equivilant....

    • but hey... lighting is a bid thing with food.... subtlelty + backlight + diffusion....vaxorcist
    • you are going to wear out the period key on your keyboardbigtrick
    • already did that on my phone....vaxorcist
