Wonder if they were "inspired" by the real Daytona...
...or, more likely, just picked up a gross-discount deal on the cases. There's an abundance of em China. Tons of "brands" doing exactly what Bape there done did. Some having a bit more fun it though, like this TickTock-o-Graph:
