Interesting point on alternative lifestyles, just look at how influential Mormons are becoming in the Republican party.

You got Glenn Beck, most popular conservative TV host, Mormon.

AZ immigration law was written by a hardcore traditional Mormon, Russell Pearce.

Even most likely candidate for President 2012, Romney, is a serious Mormon with ancestry going back to Joseph Smith who founded the religion.

What's the difference between Mormonism and "normal" Christianity? Mainly that they view Joseph Smith and Brigham Young as modern "latter day" prophets on a level with Jesus.

Smith and Young, of course, besides running around telling everyone they were the second coming of Jesus, were big advocates of polygamy. Estimate by historians is that Smith had somewhere between 42 and 48 wives. Brigham Young was even more ambitious. 55 wives, 57 kids. Damn.

    • I just looked into my hat. I saw some writing that said "SODOMY A-OK"...TheBlueOne

    • If you think about it, Smith and Young ran a pretty good hustle, historically speaking.ukit
    • all collective ideals that supercede mens individual rights are a hustle.
