There are manned submarines that have visited the Titanic, which is at 12,000 feet.

The Mir submarine has been used to visit and film the Titanic. I read a pretty awesome article recently about the people who have been down there. That's why James Cameron was offering help because he co-owns these or something like that.- woah... that's right!! there's a lot of technology out there that has been ignored during this spillPonyBoy
