  Wordpress is an all-rounder but to make a portfolio in it you need some understanding of code and how a CMS works.

  There are faster and more designer-orientated solutions such as:
  C A R G O
  C O R E
  I N D E X H I B I T

  I've not used any of those except C ore, but I've been very impressed with what friends have done with C argo with absolutely no coding ability.
