its not haywards fault and likely he has nothing to do with it. is he the representative of bp? yep. Was there negligence? of course. Can you find some sort of negiligence in anything you do form an unlimited persepctive? yes. An example is driving and not using turn signals. The context of the negligence and reasons why is far more importnat then just "negligence". Is BP not doing anything? no. Are they accpeting responsibility and doing what they can? yes. Can they please everyone? no. Can they be political scapegoats? yes. Is trying to find blame or making BP a black sheep helping? no. Does it make it harder for BP to deal with the situation? yes. Does bashing BP help other parties political careers? yes. Do those other parties really care about the spill more then there own careers or whatever they value? no. Does high CEO pay make CEO's the sole responsible party? no. Is making large amounts of money wrong? no. Does BP have a motive to lose lots of money and 40% of stock value to keep the leak going? no. Does certain politicians and there affiliates have motive to blackball BP to further there motives to make lots of money? yes. If you personally really care why are you bitching and causing more headache then helping? Im far from the sea so i dont care too much but i know the political fallout of this will likely raise my gas costs. but hell ill admit i dont care too much and maybe thats a boon because thats means i dont have bias and can see it for what it is. OMG! how can you not care! because it is what it is and i can't do a lick to alleviate the situation. I can only "hope" the people with the no how have true intentions. might be a bit existentialist but something to keep in mind.
