The progression of events that we're expected to believe here just don't make sense. To anyone who doesn't already hate this guy, for whatever reason, it's clear that's something's missing.

    Student1: Hi Congressman
    Ethridge: How are you?
    Student1: How are you?
    cut
    Student2: Congressman, how are you?
Ethridge: No thank you. (why would he say this if "How are you?" was the question)
Student1: Do you fully support the Obama agenda?
Ethridge: Who are you? (again, this response does not make sense in context.

There's no reason on this video that this man should react this way. So we can draw one of two conclusions
    A) He walked up to those students in an already agitated or altered state (drugs, alcohol, who knows)
    B) The thing that agitated him was NOT on this video, whether in the form of words said that were deftly edited, or some sort of signage they were carrying (notice we never see behind the boundary of where the "student" stood).
Also suspect is that, if these were actual college students, legitimately seeking an interview, they would have said which college they were from, as that would lend them credibility and make it that much easier to talk to the congressman.
Also suspect was the fact that there was two cameras, as though they EXPECTED that the first would be taken or obscured at some point.
Regardless, Etheridge should not have grabbed the guy and should have just walked on by
