Ouch. Blogger gets a copy of a BP Regional Oil Spill Response Plan for the Gulf of Mexico as of June, 2009 (that's a year ago)
BP has all the plausible deniability in place. Despite the report highlighting EXACTLY where the oil would go, and what the timetable would be it's fucking stunning that BP didn't have booms, etc. on hand for exactly these areas.
On the use of chemical dispersants? according to the Oil Spill Response Plan. "Ecotoxilogical effects: No toxicity studies have been conducted on this product."
Huh. And a year later they're throwing this shot out into the wild when they've known for at least a year that toxicity studies on these things might be a good idea.
