    Why don't you waste sometime looking at it and trying to imagine how it's done?...

    The grey thing over the image is the loader. After you load the image into the image holder MC, you trigger the grey loader with something like setInterval to check if bytesloaded = bytesTotal, and that percentage will move the _x property of the grey bar. There's a mask layer (or setMask'ed MC) above the image. When finally loaded the maskMC will slide its _x property (probably using a setInterval) and the image will appear in all its glory. Voilá, it's not advanced scripting.
