    oh mang, i've been riding the same default horse the whole time:

    "Selecting a good mount in RDR is essential to making a clean getaway or running down an outlaw. While we tend to get pretty attached to our critters, I’m here to tell you your horse is NOT the dog from Fable 2. Do not get attached to him. The default horse in this game is only a step above riding Eddie Murphy through a swamp, compared to the other options out there. Just to make sure I don’t lose my edge, I frequently shoot my horse and skin him/her before upgrading to a new creature. (horse meat and hide gets you 8 bucks.)"
