  So, I refuse to believe the alternate universe was "purgatory," as many of my friends suggested.

  I think it was not until they had the moment of "enlightenment" that they reach purgatory and are able to enter that church-ish thing to meet up with everyone else. Maybe.

  Someone explain and confirm/deny.

  • It wasn't purgatory per se. But they were definitely dead. Don't forget Darlton & Co are big Christians.
