  Basically, the only question I wanted to see answered (and granted this may have been asking too much) was...

  What was the fuckin island and why did it have magical powers??

  That would have been enough. Glancing over Meeklo's list for instance, I really didn't care about Paul's ankh necklace (and come to think of it, who was Paul anyway?). Even some hint of the origins of the island would have been something.

  But no, instead we got ten minutes of Sawyer trying to extract a candy bar from a vending machine. "Character development"
