    i once had a nasty breakup in which my ex-gf broke back into my apartment, found my lenses, and smashed the hell out of them - a sigma 18-50mm f2.8, and a canon 50mm f1.4. thankfully i had moved my camera and my other lenses to my car in a fit of paranoia beforehand...

    (she also poured furniture polish, coffee, milk and wax into my computer in an attempt to destroy all my digital photo archives)
