    @PB ,
    not having a Job for 6 years, probably means you did at one point , now I don't lump people into categories so this is all perspective i lived ,

    wage slavery simply means being a slave to your own need for income

    people will get job locked because they , create a loop by means of consumption driven by all types of factors

    IE , the whole credit driven market : very few have the means to purchase 3 of most sought for purchases to advance you socially (house, transportation , education)

    so we are told that you need to go to school to get a good job, right off that bat a college grad might be 50k+ in debt , creditors will go after his/her life once they snatch that diploma

    so right away the loop beings, get a job to pay off debt , most often people will take anything just to get creditors off their back , that anything sometimes ends up taking up 3-4 years of a persons life because they get caught in the wage slavery cycle and fall victim to the loop of consumption , they get a little bit of money pay down debt but now they might need a car to get to that job , more Debt , so now you need more money , and so on

    so what does it all come down too , a Consumer / Debt first market , means people rarely get a chance to be what they really want to be , there will always be exceptions to the rules ,

    in the end Pelosis statement , while I could give a rats ass about her, is nothing to get your panties in a bunch , why well you quit your job more than likely you may qualify for the revamped Medicaid , giving you one less thing to worry about (healthcare) in the consumer/debt driven market

    if you stay at poverty level for the rest of your life at that point then I am all for cutting benefits after certain timeframes , no one is asking for any hand outs, but you can't knock a person who takes advantage of state driven benefits , people that abuse them well, blame the system not the person

    • that loop you speak of can be avoided w/self control... you can eliminate your debt w/a little bit of personal management...PonyBoy
    • ... pretty much everything you just said is a cop-out for riding someone elses coattails, dude.PonyBoy
    • as for me working on my own - I'm FAR from alone... all you have to do is drive down 'main street' america and you'll see...PonyBoy
    • ... all the mom / pop businesses... self / starters etc.
      You don't need Pelosi's 'entrepreneurial bill'...

    • ... to achieve whatever goals you set for yourself.PonyBoy
    • so quitting to start your own company and using the help that is already there is a cop out?BattleAxe
