illroot, the pci upgrades are for older pre-G3 apples. i have a sonnett g4 500 in my old beige g3 and it works great with osx 10.2.3. Processor upgades do not prevent you from running OSX. Max out your ram, pick up a g4 chip and you'll be running at a pretty good clip. And probably for under $500.

Of course my beige is much slower than my 1ghz powerbook....
