    I couldn't get insured here in the states for the last 6+ years due to a pre-existing issue...

    ... so - I think I just took a job so I can get me some of them 'benefits'... sucks - but what choice do I have given our current setup.

    Our country's health care kicks ass - you just gotta find a way to afford it - especially if you're already sick. :(

    • probably need more people with less insurance. increase competition. insurance companies pay incredibly huge amounts subsidized by healthy people robbing us all

    • shit to. but hey im my own enemy. my work covers msot insurance so i pay 50 bucks a month(company a lot more) and i never use the damn thing.

    • and i never use it. just subsidizing larger payouts for larger premiums. i hate being a hypocrite but its super cheap incase emergency in the fucked up market

    • oh and 50 bucks to me helps me not think about the costthe employer ahs to pay, which i would so much rather have in paycheck form so i can save in emergencies
