You've found work up there? That would be my main concern moving outside of the GTA. There just isn't that much out there job wise.
I used to live about an hour north of Toronto by car. Used to travel 4 hours a day to get into and out of the city (car>train>subway). Drove me bonkers, did this for 2 years eventually caved and moved into the city.
If I could find enjoyable work outside of Toronto then I would probably move out. I find it too clostrophobic here at times.
