Illustrator is just awful! Freehand was and is a far superior program. Years back when Adobe bought out Macromedia I thought maybe Illustrator may begin to use some of Freehand features such as multiple pages in a document. They did but they didn't do it till version CS4 and even then it was rubbish. And the clipping function is terrible too . If I put an object into a clipping mask why can I still click on it outside of the mask?? It doesn't make sense!! Also if I use the blend tool on two objects I to go back into the menu to edit its attributes! I really dread using illustrator, the only other program I hate more is Quark! InDesign is brilliant though.

    • Yeah, that's what i thought was great about the way Freehand handled masks. Although it was annoying if you wanted to edit the contents of tha mask, but not nearly as annoying as grabbing things that are masked like happens in Illi. I just manage masked elements by locking them.Josev
