  For fuck's sake... the US Government started dealing with it as soon as the situation warranted help beyond those immediately involved. Do you think they get involved instantly whenever anything goes slightly wrong? Nobody realized the full scope of this disaster because the information and data just wasn't there yet.

  The government is helping now and devoting a ton of resources now that we know the situation is far out of hand. Beyond that - nobody can solve this problem quickly. Not the government, not BP, not the best engineers in the world. If people blame this on Obama, they are fools.
