While i whole-heartedly agree that money, or rather people's greed for that money, is a detrimental factor to the ultimate goal of a world of peace and harmony, there are some things that need to be done that no one loves. For instance, do you know anyone who loves to clean up garbage, or human waste? If there are any, they are an extreme minority.
The sad fact is that technology and consumerism has led to a near stagnation of our social evolution. At the snails pace that we are progressing as a species in the area of interpersonal relationships on a local and global scale, it'll be centuries before everyone wises up to the fact that we'd all be better off if we all looked out for each other as much as we looked out for ourselves.
