  I've confronted this problem before too. Object >> Path >> Outline Stroke doesn't outline dotted line strokes.

  But Greedo's suggestion of Object >> Flatten Transparency >> Convert Strokes to Outlines works. Yeah! Thanks for keepin the scene ALIIIIIVE!!!!
