  I'm sorry...those who think Jobs is restricting Flash because it benefits the consumer is delusional. It's App vs browser.
  The ipad is positioning itself against the browser. Canceling out flash is canceling out rich media experiences in the browser. For the last ten years Flash has been 'pushing the envelope' as to what is possible on the internet. Who knows what new crazy technologies will immerge in the future. But whatever it is, Apple is going to make you use/buy it through the app store.
