Yes, I really had that job, in Greeley Colorado it was the only porno shop. Most of the job was sitting behind the counter and selling tokens for the booths. I only mopped up at the end of the night.
There was a mother and daughter who would sometimes work as nude dancers there, when it was slow they would hang around smoking and talking about tv shows... There was a doberman behind the counter with us, and one day a hail storm, with hailstones the size of grapefruits made a huge noise on the roof. The doberman freaked out from the noise and was snapping at everyone, bit me on the hip, and that's when I finally quit.
It was a sad place, but I did get to read a lot of novels.The Sears warehouse was just as sad, with the same sense of life going to waste.
