My mbp had to be replaced twice last year, the battery lasts 1 hour and it crashes on a daily basis. My win box's crashed once or twice in 5 years. That said...

Go with whatever os you feel comfortable with and whatever os you have software for. Photoshop looks about the same in both, where I assume you'd be spending more time with than anything else.
