it's funny the criteria some people use when choosing a platform.
i have to use both because of the nature of my work. i enjoy both platforms and both have their problems and perks. i use my mac with windows xp loaded more because it fits my workflow better and because i can do more with the os given my years of experience with it. it also has a lot more 3rd party support, which i realize will change over the years for apple.
basically, choose the platform that will fit your needs in the long term. your work or use of the computer should dictate that for you.
