    cheap and fun:
    bally's
    treasure island
    flamingo

moderately priced, nice casinos, nice restaurants / fast food:
    new york new york
    monte carlo
    mgm
    luxor

overly priced but really nice casinos and food:
    paris
    venetian
    mirage

luxor and mirage are great but are to the far end of the strip. it makes for longer cab rides (more expensive) if you're trying to get to the other side of the strip. i normally like to stay in the middle so i can walk in either direction and not have to go too far.

if you're young and don't give a crap stay at bally's. it's at the center of the strip, it's cheap and it's a great place to start drinking at 10am. when i was young i thought of my hotel rooms as this... a place to shower and hold my clothes that i'll maybe be in for 2 hours a day/night so i never wanted to spend a lot of money.

if you're older (like i am now) you might be more interested in the restaurants, casinos and pool. ny ny's pool is shit. it's in the hotels shadows for 1/2 of the day and is way too small. mgm's pool is great. the hard rocks pool is ooc if you're single. the hotel blows if you're older and married. too many young hooligans puking in the hallways at 9am.

have fun. strap up. know when to hold em. know when to fold em. know when to walk away. know when to put a hookers body in the trunk.
