this is one of those funny things in this career that interest me greatly, but effect me little....
I do the creative here at my office, and work with a fairly small but cool group of developers..none of which is particularly fond of Flash, but a few are quite good at it...
most of the time, the developers here would rather us Jquery or some other tool along with good ol CSS etc..that said, i just don't care either way.... to me it sort of makes sense that apple would protect it's store and it's turf in any way they saw fit....
i also see how much of a screw job it is to adobe....although in many ways i think adobe had it coming....they've become just a tad to complacent ....they're software one way or another is largely responsible for pretty much the entire web..(i'm talking photoshop mostly here but you get it) they have a huge following with flash, and i think they've been sort of resting on their laurels....some one posted either here or elsewhere that they could imagine Jobs waiting and waiting for adobe to get its act together and fix flash for the mac etc....fix performance and a host of other things etc...waiting, waiting....adobe's all 'yeah, we'll get to that some quarter down the road' sort of thing...
finally steve loses his fucking mind, drops 50 pounds, almost dies, comes back (almost from the dead) filled with rage and vows in a secret meeting to destroy Adobe, no matter the cost....
or, you know...something like that.....
