Yes - back in '93 my band recorded 3 songs @ Long View Farm Recording Studios outside of Worcester, Ma. This is also where Bad Brains recorded that song (Sacred Love). Our engineer, Jessie, was the same guy who set up the whole phone recording...
Bad Brains was recording I against I in Worcester, but HR went to DC for something...he was arrested in Virginia (for something pretty minor like marijuana). He was only in jail for a short time but they were on a tight schedule/budget to finish the album. Longview studios set up a call using 2 phones (one for HR to listen and another for him to sing) After it was recorded they need to mess with the timing a little, but everyone liked the sound so it stayed.
