I dunno. I did print exclusively for 5 years and there wasn't a whole lot of artistic expression involved. Even at supposedly "creative" shops there's a ton of baggage you have to deal with. If you actually want opportunities to be truly imaginative, stop looking to design as an outlet. Design is – at best – work bred out of compromise.
