  In 1989 ecologists said authoritatively that regardless of all human effort put to clean the area it would take a century for life to return to the Exxon Valdez site.
  20 years later it's almost back to normal: seals lingering on the rocks and fishermen catching perfectly healthy fish.

  I am not saying, let's destroy the Earth, it's just we underestimate its regenerative and self-regulating abilities.
