What Jobs is doing isn't going to kill Flash overnight. He's probably hoping that by running around yelling "Flash sucks" it will force most big companies to reevaluate their sites and either drop Flash or make sure there is a non Flash fall back if they want to reach his customers. I mean, let's face it aside from video, there are very few highly trafficked sites where Flash is an essential part of the user experience.
It also encourages the dev community to start accelerating their efforts to make JS and HTML5 implementations better. At some point, the standards based stuff will catch up with Flash, and the browser issues will be worked out, in the meantime have fun using a dying technology:D
