I quite like her but I hate the general sheep following that just applauds her the whole time for anything she says.
I just watch her on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross and pretty much anything she said, no matter how general and non-inspiring a comment, she'd get mass applause from the audience.
It just seemed that when there was a moment where the audience weren't cheering for her, she'd just turn to them, pretty much mid-sentence, and say "I just love my fans" to get a huge cheer.
I do like her and find most of her music catchy if a little forgettable down the line (as pop generally is), I just get irritated by the hypocrisy of most of her fan base. The people that say "I love how she has the confidence to dress up so crazy" also probably laugh at your everyday goth or hipster. I think the only reason the majority of people seem to love the way she dresses is because they either just like her music or because the media keeps telling them to do so.
I don't understand what makes her so heroic. She's from a wealthy background, recovered addict, spends all her money on herself, makes music and dresses up in costume all the time.
I've seen on at least 3 interviews (not with her) where her name has been brought up and she's been dubbed "the voice of the generation". I find this ironic as she really doesn't have much to say...
