after 7 they were all crap. 8 was like 1/2 crap, but it was the beginning of the gay fashion choreographed dance... er fight scenes using the same-ish save the earth story from twisted bad guy. they even recycled names (cid, biggs/wedge) and other game elements (trains/airships) through the whole series. so the fact they keep using the same name isn't really surprising..
oh and final fantasy tactics was their best title ever - and i don't even like strategy games.
