    1) She obtained your services and had you work on the project. Work or no work, she owes you for your time.

    2) You have it in your contract stating that if she cancels the project you are entitled to the deposit. This happened.

    3) When you go to court, and your case is sound, you win, and then the other party pays for your legal fees. Make this known to her.
