The album Low by David Bowie was actually written as the soundtrack for the Man Who Fell to Earth because there was a mistake and he thought he was supposed to have come up with the soundtrack. The director had actually decided that was too much work for him in addition to playing the lead role so it hadn't really been suggested. So in a way it has two soundtracks, the official one that was never released and the completely separate Bowie album.

- It's a tough call... the movie didn't visualize the idea of music of the future . but like others it make a contribution to music itself, along with the perception of Bowie as an actor********
