can that rave scene in the Matrix be considered what you are looking for?
if you remember back in the 1980s there was an episode of the Jetsons where George Jetson was this drummer for this groovy band and Judy Jetson was all in love with her father.. its the future.. and it had music.. and whole episode on meep mopp morp aha..
the muppets had their muppet show week nights after 8pm where they did Pigs in Space.. they usually had the popular celebrity singers [Dolly Parton] on the show doing a lil number with Miss Piggy in space..
in the 80s Dolph Lundgren's Master of the Universe [HE-MAN] the main weapon was a "flute" that did what ever it did.. but in the end it was a Flute that Skeletor who came from the future controlled.
