gotta say, there's something thats just frustrating, sad, funny, charming, goofy and hilarious about watching people our folks age surf the web.....
my mom has gotten pretty good at finding what she needs to find, and doing searches....
and my dad is doing semi ok at it, i suppose...
but i get these calls everyso often asking...
now, son....if i want to find some wood working plans online...do i have to pay for them?
-he thinks everything online is a possible scam, and is paranoid that someone, somewhere is trying to 'hack' him...
hahaha...its sort of cute...so i tell him...
look..just do a search in google for the thing you want to build...ask simple questions like
'plan woodworking hammock' or deck or whatever you want to build.then he asks...
and whats this flash thing...why do i need that?
what is it?
how much does it cost?once again...he thinks everything might have a secret cost associated with it...
'don't download that!!!...can they access my credit cards??!?
uh....no....
ahaha...he's getting better tho...
