Reality. My firm, the place I have worked and supported my family for 10 years is now out of business. All the office goods rolled up sold off or sent to the junkyard. General liability & workman comp Insurance coverages canceled. Vehicles sold. Equipment sold. Employees out on unemployment and turned over to Cobra for personal health coverage. Keys returned to the landlord, who begged us to stay because he has no other income on the property. A twenty five year old business blown away.

The absolute last fucking nail in the coffin with this was our last client - a hedge fund manager who we built a $4 million dollar MacMansion calls - he's doing well - "stellar year" in fact, and he'd like us to build him a "climbing wall" in the basement for his children and install sound proofing panels so he won't have to hear them when they play in the playroom downstairs. It disturbs his deals when he's in his office.

Well, I call the architect on the project to get the latest renderings and the architect informs me he's off the job. He said to me "I did the drawings for this prick and I sen him a bill and then he said to me "Oh, since you did the drawings for the house initially I didn't think you'd be charging me for these new additions."

And when we gave the client an estimate for the very specific shit he wanted "I want these exact sound panels, they're what my client at JP Morgan recommended to me!" well..let's say he wanted us to install them with no markup.

And that my friends is why America is fucked. The rich have gotten richer and don't undertsand why it *gosh* should cost them to pay the peons to do anything.

This client also refused to let any workman use their bathrooms in their house because GOD FORBID they'd dirty them up with some sort of workman germs.

Eat the fucking rich. Game on.
